Angela Inzerillo, MD, FACP, FACE

Dr. Inzerillo was raised in New York. She attended the State University of New York at Stony Brook where she was named a Trustee Scholar and graduated with honors.

Dr. Inzerillo enrolled in Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University in Bronx, NY, where she earned her M.D. and subsequently completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the New York Hospital -Cornell University Medical Center.

Thereafter, Dr. Inzerillo completed her fellowship in Endocrinology and Metabolism at the Mount Sinai Hospital, where she also built strong academic ties beginning as an Academic Associate in 1996, continuing through present day, where she serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor for the Department of Medicine, Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Bone disease.

In addition to her academic instruction, Dr. Inzerillo has also built an impressive resume through her research and publications. She has published ten original, peer-reviewed articles as well as five text book chapters with content ranging from the molecular pharmacology of Osteoporosis to medical management during late menopause.

Dr. Inzerillo has shared her experience and knowledge in over 30 lectures and presentations on topics such as Primary Hyperthyroidism, Immunosuppressant Induced Osteoporosis, and Postmenopausal Osteoporosis. Furthermore, she currently holds seven professional appointments, including the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, American Society of Bone and Mineral Research, and the American Thyroid Association.

Dr. Inzerillo is also the recipient of the Atorvasatin Research Award (July 1, 2001-June 30, 2003) and has twice received the AMA Physician Recognition Award with Commendation (October 2008, August 2012).

Dr. Inzerillo is board certified in Endocrinology, Metabolism, and Internal Medicine. She has additionally received AACE Certification for Thyroid Ultrasound and Ultrasound Guided FNA biopsy, as well as certificates from the International Society for Clinical Densitometry and ACLS.
